In the current world of digital technology, robots and AI are also becoming more popular in the music industry. Oh Wonder’s new song, “High On Humans” features the voice of Siri saying, “Getting high on humans”.
Oh Wonder’s songs are weirdly fascinating in the best way possible. The two-person alternative band released the song to tease their upcoming album, “Ultralife”.
“High On Humans” features a heavy bass and synth line that drives the song forward. The synth also plays broken fifths, which imitates the sound of sirens.
The complex musical arrangement and vocals are genius. It perfectly paints the nature of the song that they are trying to create.
One of the band’s members, Josephine, writes, “This song celebrates the potential to ‘get high’ and feel liberated by talking to strangers. It’s something we all fear, and something we should all do more of.”
