Indie Band, We The Kings Releases New Song

Ever since the release of “Sad Song” in 2013, We The Kings have been on the rise. I like We The Kings because they write such beautiful ballads and their new song, “Ally” is no exception.

“Ally” is an acapella ballad about being alone and finding a friend. The meaningful lyrics are accompanied by beautiful harmonies.

We The Kings has never missed at capturing the sad moments in life and turning them into graceful melodies. In “Ally”, they explore the use of voices alone and it was quite a risky move as it could have been very dry without a bass line or kit playing along with the voices. However, they really took care to write the harmonies for each voice and it paid off.

The lyrics are exceptionally written and could be a poem in itself. Each verse touches the listener’s heart and the message they are trying to deliver is very clear.

We The Kings are one of the most underrated bands today. Each of their songs never fails to pull at the heartstrings and they are written with such grace and sorrow.
