FALLING in love over and over again with zeauk’s new single?

“FALLING” covers the journey of falling in love and all the revelation that brings. The song starts off with a melodious hook, cushioning the track with a sense of euphoria. The chorus rings the simple yet profound lyric, “I’m falling for you, when I am with you” and the song gains momentum all the way till the end, with falsettos and synths blending jubilation and romance all at once.

Following his string of collaborative singles since 2020, zeauk follows up with a fresh dance-pop comeback solo release, “FALLING” in co-production with the local industry mainstay music producer Cuurley who gained notoriety for producing tracks for prominent Malaysian artists such as ‘Elizabeth Tan’, ‘Hunny Madu’, ‘Daiyan Trisha’, and ‘Namewee’ — to name a few. This would be zeauk’s first of many solo releases this 2022.

“FALLING” is set to release on the 22nd of April 2022 on all major digital streaming platforms, followed by a conceptual music video. The track will be the first single leading up to zeauk’s versatile transition to the pop music space locally and internationally.

zeauk, also known as Zeus Rectra, is a Kuala Lumpur-based Filipino independent musician and visual artist. Following a creative divergence, zeauk established his name and built an online following through visual arts and creative direction since 2016, before venturing into the music scene in 2018.

Through his songwriting and consistent song releases, he gained notoriety in Southeast Asia’s music and creative space after having the opportunity to be featured on Discover Weekly and most of Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists across the said region since debut; sparking further pursuance to release more songs and collaborate with different creative artists independently. Eventually, building his presence in Kuala Lumpur with continuous radio features and press interviews.

The mix between dance-pop/electronic/R&B blends perfectly between the bounce of the 808s and zeauk’s lush vocals. “FALLING” evokes an ever evolving musical journey through nostalgia and youth. He touches on the whimsical fantasies of yearning for someone’s presence and falling in love all over again with a dash of head-boppy grooves. Infused with Pop hooks and falsettos, this track definitely serves euphoric vibes and flaunts the versatile and dreamy voice of zeauk plus the chill bars of the song’s bridge.
